On Sunday, October 12th, starting at 9:30 AM, the Monte Conero crossing will take place—one of the most captivating hikes in the Marche Active Tourism event calendar, organized by Risorse Cooperativa and Passamontagna Trekking. Monte Conero, a mountain rising steeply from the sea and covered in dense forest, is among the most beloved natural destinations in the Marche region.
The hiking route stretches for 14 km with a total elevation gain of 550 meters and an estimated duration of about 6 hours. The itinerary includes some of the most scenic spots of the Conero: from the quarries and the geological K-T boundary, to Roman caves, the viewpoint over Portonovo Bay, the church of San Pietro al Conero, and the southern viewpoint overlooking Sirolo.
The hike is open to participants aged 14 and up; dogs are welcome on a leash. Good walking fitness and some experience in natural environments are required.
Cost: €20, reduced to €15 for participants up to 14 years old. For info and bookings, email prenota@activetourism.it or send a message to 333.246.2070 (Mon–Fri, 9:00–13:00 / 15:00–18:00).
