The city of Ancona once again welcomes the aromas and flavours of the most delicious street food thanks to the new edition of the International Street Food Festival, a mouthwatering event created by Alfredo Orofino, president of A.I.R.S. (Italian Association of Street Restaurateurs), now in its ninth edition.
Organised in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Ancona, the event will transform Piazza Pertini into a true stage of flavours and cultures from every corner of the globe. The festival will open on Friday 10 October, with extended hours until midnight, and will continue on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 from 12:00 to 24:00, offering Ancona’s residents, and visitors, a unique gastronomic experience.
Numerous food trucks and stands will be present to celebrate international cuisine: from classic hamburgers to the bold flavours of Mexican dishes, including Hungarian kürtőskalács and Valencian paella. Of course, Italian excellence will also be well represented, with Neapolitan pizza, handmade Ascolan olives, Apulian bombette and many other regional specialities.
Admission is free, making this the perfect weekend for those who want to combine good food, culture and conviviality.
