From September 5 to 7, Camerano will host the Festa del Rosso Conero, now in its 30th edition. Three days dedicated to the signature wine of the Conero Riviera, featuring tastings, culture, tradition, and gastronomy, with a rich program of events that attracts thousands of visitors every year.
The star of the festival is the Rosso Conero DOC, an exceptional wine made from Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes grown on the slopes of Monte Conero. The Riserva version, recognized as DOCG since 2004, is particularly renowned.
The historic center will be transformed into a widespread stage, featuring over 100 artists, 14 wineries including Strologo, Umani Ronchi, Garofoli, Conte Leopardi, and Malacari, and more than 30 food points, from street food stalls to local eateries and association taverns.
The program kicks off on Friday, September 5 at 5:00 p.m. with the conference “Il Rosso Conero e i Vini del Conero” in the Baden Powell Hall, followed at 7:00 p.m. by the official inauguration with the Camerano band and the opening of food stands, exhibitions, and itinerant performances.
The festival will host over 15 international street artists and more than 25 concerts on four stages (For’di Porta, Piazza Matteucci, Via Garibaldi, and Piazza del Mercato), featuring genres ranging from folk/blues to hard rock, electronic music, and pop hits, along with DJ sets for younger audiences.
Artistic initiatives include exhibitions, installations, and workshops, such as “Carlo Maratti e l’incisione” at the Church of San Francesco, the interactive exhibition “C’è Parco” at the Town Hall, street art murals, “Save The Planet” on the steps of Palazzo Ruschioni, and “Purché sia rosso” at the Church of Santa Faustina.
During the festival, the photography contest “I Vini del Conero” will be inaugurated, in collaboration with the Circolo Fotografico AVIS Mario Giacomelli of Osimo, the Camerano group La Prospettiva, and AIS Marche Ancona. Winning works will be exhibited starting November 21.
To facilitate visitor access, free shuttles will run from the main parking areas: Red Line (Stadio del Conero / Via Papa Giovanni XXIII) and Blue Line (Piazza Aldo Moro / Viale Ceci), with departures every 30 minutes.
