Loreto is ready to host one of its most anticipated events: Settembre Lauretano, which from August to September will guide residents, tourists, and pilgrims through the customs and traditions of the Marian City. The festivities begin with the Exhibition of Handcrafted Products, curated by IFSMDP, hosted in the Oscar Marziali Hall: a unique journey showcasing one-of-a-kind creations.
The highlight of the event takes place from August 30 to September 6, featuring the historical costume procession, the Blessing of the Districts, the District Dinners, and the historic Corsa del Drappo. It’s a perfect week for those wishing to travel back in time and rediscover ancient customs and traditions.
Settembre Lauretano continues with the 28th Altotting Beer Festival and the first edition of the Loreto Music Festival, an evening dedicated to musical artists from the Marche region.
On September 7 and 8, the Nativity of the Virgin Mary will be celebrated with two solemn moments: the Sunday procession in Piazza della Madonna and, on Monday, the Holy Mass with the recitation of the Angelus in the Basilica.
The festival concludes with the presentation of Civic Honors, the Tombola Urlata, and the much-loved fireworks display.
