From September 18 to 21, the Regata del Conero returns to Marina Dorica, embracing the city with a program that is much more than a race: it’s culture, music, innovation, memory, and future.

Supported by the Marche Region through a co-marketing initiative, this edition is even bigger, livelier, and more multifaceted. After the success of the 25th anniversary, the organizational engine has never stopped. Today, the Regatta confirms itself as a central event for sport and for telling the story of our Adriatic.

Marina Dorica becomes a city within a city: talks, concerts, screenings, and presentations. A space designed for sailors, of course, but also for anyone who loves to experience Ancona with curiosity and passion.

The event kicks off on Thursday, September 18, with two appointments that speak of roots and journeys: the presentation of the book “Il Ristorante Passetto – An Icon in the History of Ancona” and the documentary “Altrove”, Michele Piancastelli’s world tour told with an intimate and profound perspective.

Friday, September 19, is dedicated to dialogue between sport, schools, and sustainability. Students connect with the sea, discussions explore innovation, electric cars are tested, and participants take to the water during the Open Sailing Days. In the evening, technology and music merge with the Smart Yacht talk and the Porti d’Oriente concert, in collaboration with Adriatico Mediterraneo.

Saturday, September 20, is the heart of the event. In the morning, the Conero Cup ORC Invitational takes place. At sunset, the official Regatta briefing is held, featuring Giancarlo Pedote, ocean navigator and a powerful voice in Italian sailing. The night comes alive with Alessia Tondo on the Terrazza Leopardi and Nubras in Piazzetta Triangolone.

Sunday, September 21, the sea becomes a spectacle. At 11:00 a.m., from Passetto, the 26th Conero Regatta sets sail: hundreds of sails cross the Riviera, streamed live from the Virna Lisi stairway. Two routes, two spirits: a gentler “cruise” and a more competitive “race.” On the water, top names like Anywave Safilens, Kiwi, Blue, and the agile sportsboats of the Platu25 fleet compete, also aiming for the World Championship.

In the afternoon, the celebration continues with the Crew Party and the award ceremony. Not just trophies: the legendary “wine weighing” returns, with Umani Ronchi wine crates matching the weight of a randomly chosen sailor—a ritual that is already legendary.

The Conero Regatta is more than sailing. It’s Ancona telling its story, it’s the port opening up, it’s the sea becoming a place to meet.
