Just a few kilometers from the sea, Castelfidardo is universally recognized as the city of the accordion, thanks to the artisanal tradition started in 1863 by Paolo Soprani, considered the “father” of the Italian accordion.
The heart of this story is the International Accordion Museum, inaugurated in 1981
inside the Town Hall, with over 350 instruments from 22 countries, some of them donated
by famous accordionists such as Astor Piazzolla.
Every year, in the second half of September, music comes to life with the International
Accordion Festival, featuring world-class performances of jazz, tango, ensembles,
and open-air concerts.
Set in 17th-century rooms of the Town Hall, the exhibition tells the technical and cultural evolution of the instrument, with audio, scores, and historical objects — from artisanal workshops to pieces signed by great musicians.
A week dedicated to music that transforms the town into a vibrant stage, with concerts, international competitions, and outdoor performances.
A panoramic viewpoint ideal for admiring the surrounding hills and breathing in the horizon of the Riviera.
Erected in 1912 in memory of the historic 1860 battle, this imposing bronze statue rests on travertine, within the Park of Remembrance.
Housed in Villa Ferretti / Palazzo Mordini, it tells the story of the Battle of Castelfidardo and preserves documents, artifacts, and artworks linked to the Italian Unification.
A noble residence hosting a rich collection of Italian art, open to visitors from June to September by reservation.
Castelfidardo combines music, history, and craftsmanship in a single itinerary.
It is the perfect place to discover:
- a unique cultural experience (music + museums),
- the Italian accordion-making tradition,
- the secrets of a crucial battle in the Risorgimento,
- art and nature in elegant, panoramic settings.
