your gateway to the Conero Riviera

Numana

The Lady of Conero

This is how the town of Numana is known. Together with Camerano and Sirolo, it is one of the "guardians" of Mount Conero.
Divided into two areas, Upper and Lower Numana, it offers two very different atmospheres.

Upper Numana

It is characterized by limestone houses built from Conero stone, typical of the area, and by alleys full of shops, bars, and restaurants.

Of great importance is the State Antiquarium, which houses, among other things, the finds from the archaeological area "I Pini."
A stop at the belvedere overlooking the tourist port is a must—an incredible viewpoint from which you can admire the entire Conero Riviera coastline, stretching as far as Porto Recanati and beyond.
Here you will also find an arch called La Torre, the only medieval remnant of the town.

Also picturesque is La Costarella, Numana’s most famous street, a charming stairway leading step by step down to the tourist port, connecting the two areas of the town... it will make you sweat a little, but it’s worth it!
From Upper Numana you can reach the famous beach known as La Spiaggiola, located north of the tourist port. The seafront, instead, belongs to the Lower Numana area.
If you are in Numana in May, don’t miss the Fish Festival, a must-attend event for over twenty-five years.

Lower Numana

This is where you’ll find Numana’s wide sandy beach, with its fully equipped seafront filled with beach clubs and restaurants where you can enjoy excellent seafood.
Lower Numana is also the perfect morning meeting point for jogging enthusiasts.
Continuing south, the seafront merges with that of Marcelli, a district of Numana and a typical seaside resort.
